OFC18 fall and spring recreational programs include weekly indoor practices and 8 indoor games. Games will be played on weeknights. Keep the weekend open for family time, other activities, or other sports. The winter programs include league games and free indoor clinics/mini camps for developing specific skills such as goalkeeping, scoring, or learning dribbling moves. The objective of our program is to teach soccer skills in a fun, safe and challenging environment. OFC18 coaching staff is licensed through the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and will ensure participants follow our curriculum designed to gradually improve players’ individual and collective skills. Additional OFC18 staff will be present as needed. OFC18 is a strong advocate of self-discovery of the game and self-learning during the game to let players make their own decisions.
All practices and games will be at 68 Inside Sports Indoor Facility located at 11301 W 88th St., Overland Park, KS 66214. OFC18 indoor practices and games never get canceled! Playing indoor protects your children from harmful UV rays on hot summer days and cold rainy weather in fall and spring. No more muddy shoes and wet clothes in the car on the way home. Indoor turf field is flat and perfect for learning basic soccer skills.
Player registration for Pre-K to 2nd grade (5-8 year-olds) is only $99 per season. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
OFC18 will offer a family Multiplayer Discount starting in 2019.
2nd child 20% reduction on all of our programs.
3rd child 50% reduction on all of our programs.
Teams will be formed by school of attendance and on requests by friends or home locations. Small rosters will allow more playing time for all players. Some teams may have players with different birth years or grades play together (for example, siblings or more advanced players in need of a more challenging environment). Emphasis is on individual player development. Parents are welcome to help coach the teams.
All games will be 5v5 or 6v6 (including the goalkeeper). All players are expected to play defending, attacking, and goalkeeping positions at least once. The game will be played in two halves lasting 18 minutes each with a 5 minute halftime. Equal playing time for all players. No offsides will be called. All goal kicks and corner kicks will be played on the ground. All free kicks will be indirect.
